TUCSON (AP) — Two Willcox men cited a combined 22 times for illegal hunting practices have been fined $12,500 and had their hunting and fishing privileges either suspended or revoked by the Arizona Game and Fish Department.

The fines are the result of a six-month investigation stemming from the unlawful taking of five mule deer, four bucks and one doe in 2008.

Authorities say 22-year-old Jared A. Youngs was fined $6,000 and given a lifetime suspension of his hunting and fishing privileges while 24-year-old Josh L. Ferrigna was fined $1,500 and has his hunting and fishing privileges revoked for 15 years.

The two men were convicted of criminal charges related to the illegal hunting in late 2008 and fined a combined $5,000, the release said.

Youngs and Ferrigna were charged following the execution of a search warrant by Game and Fish on two Willcox residences last year.
