A power outage Thursday night left 1,300 homes in west Flagstaff, including the entire NAU campus, in the dark for 80 minutes.
The areas affected, according to an APS official, were from Boulder Point to east of Milton Road between Riordan Ranch Road and McConnell Drive.
Power went out around 8 p.m. and was restored about 80 minutes later.
But the outage forced NAU officials to "suspend" an NAU men's basketball game against University of Pacific, which was already under way. The game will either be picked up from where it was suspended next week or canceled, depending on a decision by the two schools' athletic directors. (See related story in Sports.)
The power was restored in time to allow Harkins Theatres, which was one of the businesses affected, to continue with a midnight screening of "New Moon" on six separate screens.
An official with APS said on Thursday night that a cause for the power outage had not been determined.
