Thelma Goodwin, right, of Flagstaff, a former corporal in the Women's Army Corps in World War II, spoke at Veterans Day ceremonies Wednesday at the American Legion in Flagstaff. She spoke about her free trip to Washington, D.C., earlier this month to see the new World War II Memorial, part of a national program honoring surviving WWII vets.
