Two-year prison sentence for Rez assault
A Moenave man has been sentenced to more than two years in prison for assaulting his partner.
According to information from the U.S. Attorney's Office in Phoenix, Yazzie Allen, 50, will be spending the nest 27 months behind bars for a February 2009 assault where Allen caused serious injury. He pleaded guilty to pummeling his partner with his fists and hands after he had spent most of the day drinking.
After Allen completes his prison term, he will then be placed into a six-month inpatient alcohol rehabilitation program.
