Here's a look at how some college and pro athletes with local ties fared recently:
CROSS COUNTRY Hannah Moen (Coconino, '08) University of Arizona -- The sophomore finished 58th at the Pac-10 Championships at the Skylinks Golf Course in Los Angeles on Saturday. She finished the 6k course in a time of 21:49.77
Chloe Phillips (Flagstaff High, '09) Mississippi State University -- The freshman was the Bulldogs' second highest finisher at the SEC Championships on Saturday in Oxford, Miss., finishing 57th. Like Moen, Phillips ran a 6k course and finished in 23:27.76.
SOCCER
Torrey Larson (Flagstaff High, 09) Fort Lewis College (Colo.) -- The freshman forward scored two goals in the second half to ensure a Skyhawk win on Senior Day, 3-1, over California State-Pueblo. She leads the team with nine goals on the season.
Christine Schmelzle (Coconino, 07) Fort Lewis College (Colo.) -- The junior goalkeeper notched four saves and picked up the victory in the 3-1 win over CSU-Pueblo. She is 12-2 on the season with an .824 save percentage.
WRESTLING
Shauna Isbell (Coconino, '09) Lindenwood University (Mo.) -- The freshman finished in third place at the McMaster Open in Canada last weekend. She went 4-1 on the weekend.
FOOTBALL
James Brooks (Flagstaff High, '07) Arizona State University -- The redshirt sophomore defensive end picked up one sack and forced a fumble in ASU's 23-21 loss to California on Saturday.
Joe Bernardi (Flagstaff High, 06) Fresno State University - The redshirt junior started at center in the Bulldogs' 31-27 win over Utah State on Saturday.
Bradd Shedd (Flagstaff High, 07) Idaho State University -- The redshirt sophomore offensive lineman played in a reserve role in the Bengals' 41-10 loss to Montana State on Saturday.
VOLLEYBALL
Megan Kaminskas (Flagstaff High '05) High Point University (N.C.) -- The senior middle blocker/hitter had eight kills, three blocks and two digs in a 3-1 win over Presbyterian (S.C.) on Friday. She had eight kills, three assists and two digs in a 3-1 loss to Radford (Va.) on Oct. 28.
Kelsey Ross (Sinagua '08) Holy Family University (Pa.) -- The sophomore outside hitter had two kills, two service aces and one dig in a 3-2 loss to Nyack College (N.Y.) on Saturday.
Rosie Steinhaus (Flagstaff High '07) University of Colorado -- The redshirt sophomore outside hitter had nine kills and eight digs in a 3-0 loss to Oklahoma on Oct. 28. She also had 12 kills and three digs in a 3-0 loss to Iowa State on Saturday.
Brendyce Budd (Page, '07) Armstrong Atlantic State University (Ga.) -- The junior outside hitter had six kills and one dig Saturday in a 3-1 win over USC-Aiken.
BASKETBALL
Matt Haryasz (Page, '02, Stanford, '06) Bnei Hasharon, Israeli League -- The center scored six points with three rebounds Sunday in an 86-69 loss to Hapoel Afula.
